During 2016, I was fresh out of my first semester in college when I decided to take a break.
I wanted to focus on making money and took up a job as a car salesman. At the time, I was content honestly. Until the day I met a 22 year-old entrepreneur. It was at my friend’s girlfriend's cousin, who pulled up in a new Porsche. I had just made $3,500 for the month at 19, and was feeling great. When the car door opened, I was expecting an older gentleman to step out. That was the kind of mentality I had until that very day. That there was only one path to go down in life, and that was to work a 9-5, retire at 60, and then have fun. Long story short, we got talking as he was only in New York for one day. It was the first time I had heard about e-commerce, and that there were other routes in life that could obtain liberation. My mentality drastically changed from there, as I realized all my long days and nights were producing his daily income in a day with what I make in a month. While he freely chooses to go wherever he wants, when he wants. I had then felt bound and knew to myself that I needed to do something great in life and break from society's norms.
When 2016 had ended, so did my first e-commerce business. Complete flop, learned from trial and error. Lost a lot of money in the process, my second one however did decent. That’s when I had left my job as a car salesman. Around March of 2017, I joined a group “educating” Forex and Crypto trading. I was learning how to trade originally as side income but eventually it became my main focus. It was something I enjoyed more than e-commerce and results from trading Forex eventually yielded more than my e-commerce business. That is when I decided to sell my business and invest that money into my trading account.
